The holiday season is a great time to rock a bold red, or a beautiful nude lipstick. We also love to mix in berry shades and vibrant purples. We have compiled a list of our favorite lipsticks for the season to share with you! These lipsticks made our favorites list not only because of their beautiful colors and pigmentation, but because they are comfortable and long lasting! Carly's FavesI love nude, purple, berry, and red shades for this time of year! My favorite lipsticks are all affordable drug store brands...I think they out perform any high end lipstick! My favorites are: Milani Color Statement Lipstick in 34 Violet NYX Velvet Matte in Duchess Rimmel Lasting Finish by Katie #11 Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in Wear Berries! All of these brands and shades are available in drugstores and at Ulta. The best part is that each lipstick is under $8.00! My top favorite of all four is the Essence Long Lasting lipstick in Wear Berries! I love the formulation and color for everyday wear. This lipstick is comfortable on the lips and has a bit of shine. The best part is that it's the most affordable as well, it's only $2.99! I really love the Milani Color Statement lipstick in Violet when I want a pop of color. The shade violet is a beautiful vibrant purple, but it isn't overly bold. Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate #11 is the perfect red for a classic holiday look. I really like that it lasts through eating and drinking. It is the perfect red to pair with a wearable ugly sweater for any holiday party! (Check out our suggestions for not so ugly christmas sweaters!) Finally, NYX Velvet Matte lipstick in Duchess is a great mauve shade for my skin tone. I love NYX's matte formulation as well, it is not overly drying and sits well on the lips. Abby's FavesCarly and I have similar taste in lipstick shades for this time of year! I also love reds, purples, pinks, and nudes. I have a mix of high end and drug store brand lipsticks that I adore! My favorites are: Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Natural in N9 Copper Pink NYX Extra Creamy Lipstick in Tea Rose Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting lipstick in Scarlet Siren Urban Decay Matte Revolution lipstick in Matte After Dark These lipsticks range from $7.00-$30.00. Although the higher end lipstick is definitely more expensive, a little goes a long way and they last forever on the lips! My all time favorite lipstick out of my top four is the NYX Extra Creamy lipstick in Tea Rose. I have repurchased this lipstick time and time again because it is the most flattering everday shade for me. The formulation of the lipstick is creamy and somewhat hydrating. They are extremely comfortable on the lips and lasts all day! It's also the most affordable of my top lipsticks at $6.99! For my pop of color, I love Urban Decay's Matte After Dark. It's a great purple berry shade for fall and winter. This shade is easily buildable, so I can wear it shear or super bold depending on the day! Estee Lauder Scarlet Siren lipstick is the perfect red for me. It wears well through out the day and lasts through eating and drinking! The way this shade fades is also very flattering, it isn't patchy or flaky. This lipstick is perfect to pair with a neutral eye look and winged liner! (Check out our tips and tricks for the perfect winged liner!) Finally, Makeup Forever's Rouge Artist Natural in N9 Copper Pink is a great everyday nude. I love that this lipstick has a bit of color, it doesn't wash me out like most nude lipsticks do. The formulation is soft and comfortable on the lips. It is such a versatile color and can be worn at any time of the year! We would love to hear your feedback! What are you favorite lipsticks for the holiday season? With love,
