Wow, I can't believe it has been over a month since we graduated, so much has happened! Although college was stressful, being a working woman is no different! While Carly and I both started our careers right after college (no summer break for us!), we found ways to take care of ourselves and unwind! Here are our three tips for self-care! Exercise! Working out has a lot of benefits, including a better nights sleep, stress reduction, and better overall health! Working out does not have to be intense either! Some days we want to do an intense workout, others we may be feeling a little groggy. To keep things interesting we like to switch it up by going to the gym, participating in a Zumba class, doing yoga, taking a walk, etc. Getting out there and trying different things is the only way to figure out what works for you! Summer is a great time to experiment with this, the nice weather and longer days allow us to be creative! So get out there and get moving! Another great way to find and try out different workouts is Pinterest. We both have boards dedicated to workouts, motivation posts, and cute outfits. Check out Abby's fitness Pinterest board here Check out Carly's fitness Pinterest board here Bath time! A relaxing, warm, and bubbly bath is a great way to unwind from the stress of the day or week. Abby has a scheduled Sunday night bath with a different bath fizz bomb. Not only is this relaxing, it gives her something to look forward to at the the end of the week and starts the week off right! Abby really enjoys these locally made bath fizz bombs, the scents selection is amazing and they don't stain your tub! Also, they are super affordable..only $3.25! Along with bath bombs, we love to burn candles during bath time! Carly loves the aromatherapy stress relief scented candles from Bath and Body Works, especially Eucalyptus Spearmint and Lavender! We both love using apps like Spotify and Sound Cloud to create playlists specifically for relaxation. A great pre-made play list on Spotify is Mellow Morning. This playlist has a mix of John Mayer, The Lumineers, Coldplay, and Sam Smith; its a great combination of songs for relaxation! Reading! Reading a good book is a great way to escape and relax! Typically we like to unwind before bed with a cup of tea and our book of choice. Abby typically likes to sip on Sleepy Time Peach tea and she is currently reading The Crossroads of Should and Must by Elle Luna. This is a really easy read that helps its readers identify what the differences between the should's and must's in their life.
